With news coming in straight from Vita3K’s Discord channel, it can now run Mortal Kombat, The Legend of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X and Freedom Wars. As per the footage, all of them are running at full speed with minimal bugs.
The PSVita emulator‘s developer, Macbu, successfully tested a couple of games on an Android phone with a Snapdragon processor. You can read more about it through Reddit post which discussed the development in detail, along with screenshots from the Discord thread.
Behold the Beta
Vita3K, an experimental PlayStation Vita emulator in beta, which has made significant progress this month, with the team now able to boot a few commercial titles on the emulator. It is the first open-source PlayStation Vita emulator and is being developed by a small team of volunteers.
While PS2Vita was not deemed a commercial success, it garnered a niche group of fans who wanted to play the console’s games.
Second life of Vita
Mortal Kombat’s Vita port has virtually everything from the Ps3’s complete edition. It also offers extra content through the challenge tower.
Similarly, Trail of Cold Steel holds well against its PS4 counterpart. Their date of release has a vast difference but the gameplay remains the same.
Freedoms of War is a PSVita exclusive so you will enjoy it on the Vita3K.
Vita3K for Android release date
At this time, there is no set release date for Vita3k for Android. The developers are actively working on the project, but they do not offer any timeline as to when it may be available. You can get the latest updates by joining their Discord channel.
