Everybody has been raging to get their hands on PS5 for now. The global semiconductor is not helping in that regard.

Sony is apparently working behind the curtains to bring a PS3 emulator to the PlayStation 5. This comes in after the Japanese giant hinted at supporting classic PS1, PS2, and PSP games. ACCORDING TO THE COMPANY, the PS3 is strictly supported through cloud streaming due to its complex architecture, where it is more than what meets the eye.

Showering disappointment on Sony, popular game developer the ModernVintageGamer tweeted on the speculations, emphasizing the feasibility of the backward support on the latest PS console.

As per VentureBeat’s Grubb, the PS3 emulation is definitely on the cards, “Since talking about this all week, I’ve looked, I’ve asked… it sounds like Sony might be working on emulation for PS3 on PS5,” he said. “

Even we had moderate success in finding a PS3 emulator for PC. The new PS Plus Premium pass promises a total of 340 games across the classic PS generations.

A popular YouTube gaming channel has indicated that PS3 emulation on PS5 is possible and could be in the pipeline.
